Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of science learning outcomes on the properties of light through light box learning media in grade 4 SD Luqman al-hakim Surabay. This type of research is classroom research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycle. The subjects of this study were 4th graders at Luqman Al-hakim Elementary School Surabaya. Data on improving mathematics and science learning outcomes material properties of light were obtained by using observation of student activities and student learning outcomes which were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis methods. The results showed that there was an increase in science learning outcomes for the material properties of light through light box learning media in grade 4. The results of pre-cycle research showed a percentage value of 61%, cycle 1 percentage value 81%, cycle 2 percentage value 92%.  The conclusion is that the learning outcomes of grade 4 science at SD Luqman Al-Hakim Surabaya have increased.
