Studi Literatur: Analisis Pentingnya Kemampuan Numerasi dalam Mendukung Pemecahan Masalah Matematis

Abstract

Numeracy is an important fundamental life skill, which not only helps someone in solving mathematical problems but is also useful in everyday life. Mathematical problem solving is a form of applying mathematics to real problems and shows the usefulness of mathematics in life. This research was carried out using a literature study method, namely by reviewing several articles on relevant topics obtained from several journals with the aim of analyzing the importance of numeracy skills in supporting numeracy problem solving. Based on the results of data analysis obtained from a review of several articles, it is known that there is a positive relationship between numeracy ability and mathematical problem solving so that numeracy ability is important as an effort to support mathematical problem solving. Thus, the results of this research can be used as a reference for teachers to continue to improve students' numeracy and mathematical problem solving abilities, as well as for the government to continue to facilitate all efforts to improve the numeracy abilities of Indonesian students who, based on the PISA assessment, are still at the bottom of the rankings so that they can improve and be able to compete. globally.
