Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kegiatan literasi dalam rangka menumbuhkan minat baca siswa di MI plus Al-Fatimah. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif fenomenologi. Penelitian fenomenologi adalah suatu pendekatan penelitian yang memandang kejadian   dengan   kesadaran   dan penuh makna sehingga membentuk pengalaman bagi    individu    yang    seolah    melihat    dan merasakan   realita   dari   suatu   objek   tersebut. Subjek penelitian ini adalah wali kelas 1, 2 dan 3 serta siswa-siswi di kelas tersebut. Berdasarkan hasi penelitian dan pembahasan   dapat   disimpulkan   bahwa minat   baca   siswa sekolah dasar masih rendahnya minat baca siswa. Upaya sekolah yang dilakukan untuk menumbuhkan minat baca siswa adalah dengan kegiatan literasi yang dilakukan setiap satu minggu sekali. Siswa  diberi  dukungan  agar  minat baca muncul dari diri siswa itu sendiri. Selain siswa diberi dukungan menumbuhkan minat bacanya sendiri, guru juga berupaya memberikan bacaan yang menarik setiap kegiatan literasi.

Abstract

This research aims to describe literacy activities in order to foster students' interest in reading at MI plus Al-Fatimah. This research uses qualitative phenomenological research. Phenomenological research is a research approach that views events with awareness and full of meaning so as to form an experience for the person         individual who            as if      see and feel the reality of an object. The subjects of this research were the homeroom teachers of classes 1, 2 and 3 and the students in these classes. Based on The results of the research and discussion can be concluded that elementary school students' interest in reading is still low. The school's efforts to foster students' interest in reading are through literacy activities which are carried out once a week. Students are given support so that interest in reading arises from the students themselves. Apart from giving students support to develop their own interest in reading, teachers also try to provide interesting reading for every literacy activity.
