Artificial Intelligence Dalam Penerjemahan Arab–Indonesia: Kajian Literatur tentang Akurasi Makna dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab

Urgensi pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam penerjemahan Arab–Indonesia semakin relevan karena meningkatnya kebutuhan akses terhadap teks Arab dalam pembelajaran, kajian keislaman, dan literatur akademik, sementara bahasa Arab memiliki kompleksitas morfologi, sintaksis, semantik, i‘rab, balaghah, idiom, serta konteks budaya. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji peluang dan keterbatasan AI dalam menghasilkan terjemahan Arab–Indonesia yang akurat secara makna. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan systematic literature review sederhana dengan pengumpulan data melalui penelusuran literatur pada Google Scholar, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Springer, Taylor & Francis, DOAJ, dan Garuda; data dianalisis melalui identifikasi, seleksi, klasifikasi tema, sintesis temuan, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa AI, khususnya Neural Machine Translation, mampu mempercepat penerjemahan, membantu pemahaman kosakata, mendukung latihan mandiri, menyediakan bahan ajar, dan memperluas akses terhadap teks Arab. Namun, AI masih terbatas dalam memahami konteks, idiom, teks keagamaan, sastra, dan unsur budaya. Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa AI sebaiknya digunakan sebagai alat bantu, bukan pengganti kompetensi manusia. Penelitian selanjutnya perlu menguji berbagai platform AI pada korpus Arab–Indonesia.
The urgency of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Arabic–Indonesian translation has become increasingly relevant due to the growing need for access to Arabic texts in learning, Islamic studies, and academic literature, while Arabic has complex morphology, syntax, semantics, i‘rab, balaghah, idioms, and cultural contexts. This article aims to examine the opportunities and limitations of AI in producing meaning-accurate Arabic–Indonesian translations. This study employs a simple systematic literature review approach, with data collected through literature searches on Google Scholar, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Springer, Taylor & Francis, DOAJ, and Garuda; the data were analyzed through identification, selection, thematic classification, synthesis of findings, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that AI, particularly Neural Machine Translation, can accelerate translation, support vocabulary comprehension, facilitate independent practice, provide teaching materials, and broaden access to Arabic texts. However, AI remains limited in understanding context, idioms, religious texts, literary works, and cultural elements. This review emphasizes that AI should be used as an assistive tool rather than a substitute for human competence. Future research needs to test various AI platforms using Arabic–Indonesian corpora.
